Katie Price Nominated For Mother Of The Year
This is not a hoax. UK voters have nominated Katie Price as one of the finalists for this year’s Bounty Celebrity Mum of the Year. For reasons beyond my comprehension, the public put Katie on the shortlist of best celebrity moms along side 19 others including Samantha Cameron and 3 Spice Girls: Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell.
Considering the year Katie’s had, the fact that she’s on the shortlist doesn’t speak too highly of celeb moms (or “mums”) in the UK.
Not only have Katie and estranged hubby Peter Andre been firing back and forth with public insults, but Katie’s image in particular has taken a pretty good beating in the aftermath.
At a time when people are calling for Peter and Katie to give back the money they won from a libel settlement with a tabloid that called them “bad parents,” winning Bounty Celeb Mum of the Year seems out of the question. In fact, I was pretty sure Katie would easily make it onto the shortlist of the UK’s worst celeb moms.
If you’re thinking: ‘he neglected to mention Victoria Beckham!’ You’re right. I did so because she didn’t make it into this year’s top 20 — and Katie Price somehow did. That’s messed up.
