Hamels Pitches Perfect Baby
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels left the ballpark after throwing 82 pitches because his wife, Heidi Strobel of Survivor fame, went into labor.
Apparently Heidi went into labor while Cole was pitching but told the team not to tell him until he was done, which turned out to be the 5th inning. Like a guy can concentrate in that situation, playoffs be damned!
Caleb Michael Hamels was born on Friday morning. The Phillies took the series.
