The crazy thing is that the dog had been found by Max’s groomer’s next door neighbor. When the neighbor asked the groomer about the pooch, they were able to ID it as Max and voila — mystery solved.

According to Brooke’s “lost dog” poster:

“He’s a very friendly, black Maltipoo who has been missing since between 4-9:30pm on Saturday the 3rd.

Please call us with ANY information. He is the pride and joy of a 9-year-old girl.”

What’s the deal with missing Maltipoos this year? A month ago, I’d never even heard of a Malti-Poo. Now, I’m already sick of hearing about them.

At least this Malti-Poo saga has a happy ending, unlike the Jessica Simpson Malti-Poo drama, which not only included a dog getting devoured taken by coyotes, but then a series of cruel pranks from people saying that they’d found the dog. That’s just plain mean.

It’s hard enough to lose a dog, but it’s so much more intense when your children are completely attached to it. Luckily for 9-year-old Madison, this doggie got found.

It’s a great reminder to please save yourself the agony of losing your pup and go buy your dog some tags with your phone # right now. Dogs get out of fences, escape when you’re not looking, etc. It’s not a possibility — it’s a near certainty.
