Kandi Burruss Says Goodbye: Ashley “A.J.” Jewell Laid To Rest (PHOTOS)
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss said goodbye to her former fiance, Ashley “A.J.” Jewell. The father-of-six was laid to rest on Friday, October 9.
From KhabreinInfo:
A.J. was remembered by all the people present there as down to earth, affable and loving. Many people present there were seen sobbing in the full public glare.
One of his friends said that he was such a wonderful person that it was hard to imagine that he will get involved in such a useless fight.
He said that with his death he has lost not only a great friend but someone who was always there in his time of need.
At the two-hour long service, he was remembered as a “free-spirit” who loved his six children passionately, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Kandi was one of six people chosen to eulogize him. Fighting back tears, she said he was “taken too soon.”
“AJ had the best,” she added. “And he has three beautiful daughters and three handsome sons to carry on his family name.”
His brother Isaac, defended AJ by attacking the media and bloggers and said they had misrepresented and misjudged AJ.
“What you saw on TV was only a snippet of how my brother was,” Isaac said.
Also speaking was his son Ashley Jewell III.
“You will always be in my heart. I promise to carry on your name,” he said.
A.J. was beaten to death outside an Atlanta strip club earlier this month. Our hearts go out to the family, especially his six children.
