David Letterman Seen Kissing Birkitt In August
Had about enough of the David Letterman sex scandal yet? Of course not. As more and more details leech out about Letterman’s flings, he’s looking worse and worse. The latest claim is that extortionist Joe Halderman saw Letterman and Stephanie Birkitt smooching as recently as August, and that’s what drove him to blackmail.
Before that particular revelation, most of the cheating allegations had dated from before David had married longtime partner Regina Lasko — therefore alleging some sort of technical fidelity, I guess.
According to the alleged blackmailer and 48 Hours producer Joe Halderman, he saw his then girlfriend Stephanie Birkitt lip-locked with Letterman in his own driveway in August. When he confronted her about it, she moved out and got her own apartment.
Out of the ashes of that relationship — wrecked by Dave — came the plot to extort him out of $2M clams.
As more and more details emerge, time and time again it looks like David will have to throw himself at the mercy of his hopefully forgiving wife (and mother of his 5-year-old) wife Regina.
