The child star and celebrity dad announced this week that he’s once again returning to his roots. No, he’s not doing the long awaited sequel Goonies II. Corey is, however, going to be the executive producer of the 3rd installment in the Lost Boys franchise: Lost Boys: The Thirst.

Says Corey:

“We are finally going to make a third installment to The Lost Boys series. I am very excited to get started. The title of the film will be ‘Lost Boys: The Thirst’ and I am excited to say it will be a full scale return of the Frog Brothers (that means Jamison Newlander). Not like the tease in the last film…

“I would say this will be much closer to the comic book series .I do not want to tell you too much about it other than I have been lucky enough to be asked to Executive Produce the film for Warners.”

Now that Corey is the executive producer the flick, do you think he’ll try to squeeze in a role for his 5-year-old son Zen? They may be boring, but a movie franchise like Lost Boys is not just job security, it’s a way to throw your family a job or two. Original Lost Boy Keifer Sutherland landed his half-brother a job in Lost Boys: The Tribe.
