Gwyneth Paltrow Not Making Movies for the Kids
Many actor and actresses, after they procreate, opt to invest their time in roles that are suitable for the whole family. When once they would have rolled their eyes at lending their voice to an animated ant, playing the ‘wacky uncle’ or to starring in a film based on a ride at Disneyland, they embrace these projects ‘for the kids’. These parents want to make a film where mommy and daddy aren’t swearing, naked or being otherwise naughty.
But Gwyneth Paltrow…she currently has no interest in doing kiddie films, the closest she’s come in playing Pepper Potts in the Iron Man films.
She gives to her kids in other ways. She stated that “I don’t think I will start looking for projects the kids can watch. I feel like I give them so much time at home and I work so little and I give everything I have to them.”
She continued to say, “I feel like when I work that is my time to express myself and to be creative and to really delve into somebody else’s mind, heart and psyche. That is my thing. I do it once a year – maybe only for a few weeks but it can be as R rated or not as I want it to be.”
