Letterman Apologizes To Wife On The “Late Show”
Following Thursday’s on-air admission that he had an affair with female staffers and that a CBS employee was trying to blackmail him for $2M, David Letterman returned to the set of the Late Show this afternoon, where he reportedly apologized to his wife Regina Lasko and those he at the studio who’ve been hurt in the crazy ordeal.
According to the WaPo, Dave issued what some have described as “a sincere apology” to his wife — the mother of his 5-year-old son Harry — at today’s filming, saying: “I have a lot of work to do.”
That may be the understatement of the year right there. What’s more, reports of other affairs (even a secret bedroom in the studio) seem to keep bubbling up as this ordeal plays out. For both Dave and his son Harry, I hope Regina is the forgiving kind.
Wow. David Letterman has had a seriously bumpy 2009. Back in June, protesters were calling for Dave’s head on a platter for his off-color jokes about 14-year-old Willow Palin. Now, CBS is once again in the middle of another major David Letterman controversy.
