Jon Gosselin Drained Kate’s Bank Account Of $200,000?!!

Would Jon Gosselin be that low?  To take money from his estranged wife and mother of his children?  To drain her bank accounts?  According to sources, the divorce war between Jon and Kate just took a nasty turn.  So, his apology to Kate was, uh, not sincere?

According to Radar Online, Jon cleared out the couple’s joint bank account, leaving his estranged wife with just $1,000. Another account, set up for the Gosselin children, was untouched, Radar reports.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed the details of the report to PEOPLE, and said Kate plans to take legal action.

When initially reached for comment, a rep for Jon was unaware of the situation and had no comment.

At the same time he was telling a national TV audience that he wanted to put the brakes on his divorce and establish a better relationship with his wife, Jon Gosselin was secretly emptying their bank account, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Jon violated an arbitrator’s rules and pulled hundreds of thousands of dollars out of his joint account with Kate, leaving her with only $1,000, a RadarOnline.com investigation uncovered.

When Kate discovered what happened she engaged a high-powered lawyer who immediately sent Jon a letter, demanding he return the money to the bank account. And RadarOnline.com has learned that another lawyer for Kate will go to court in Pennsylvania on Monday to file papers demanding the money be returned.

Multiple sources tell RadarOnline.com that Jon’s actions were in violation of the Gosselin divorce arbitrator’s guidelines.

The scandal, which has heightened acrimony in the divorce to record levels, comes right after Jon and Kate had appeared to informally work out a custody schedule.

But now the divorce has taken another combative turn, with money becoming the new battleground.

Kate will appear on NBC’s Today Show early this week in an appearance that was scheduled before the latest divorce bombshell.

So, the possibility of Jon and Kate being civil for the sake of their eight children is never going to happen, is it?  Right, didn’t think so.  Well, to be fair, right now it’s more Jon being a douchebag than Kate.  Although I don’t agree with her doing interviews either, she at least doesn’t trash Jon and she’s not taking money from him, or doing things that would hurt or embarrass her children.  Jon, unfortunately, cannot say the same.

Kate Gosselin is drawing the big gun — we’ve learned she’s hired legal pitbull Marty Singer to go after Jon Gosselin … asking a judge to hold him in contempt of court for raiding their joint bank account to the tune of more than $200,000.

We’ve learned there is an existing court order prohibiting Jon or Kate from withdrawing any money from the account without the consent of both parties.

We’ve learned lawyers for Kate will go to Pennsylvania court tomorrow and argue that Jon has flagrantly violated that order, that he should be forced to return the money to the account and held in contempt.

Ironically, Jon suggested on “Larry King” he wanted to save the marriage — at the same time he emptied the account.

Things are going to get worse before they get better.  Hang onto your hats Gosselin children.  Poor babies!
