Elizabeth Edward Wants To Clean John Out In The Divorce
Is Elizabeth Edwards finally sick of trying to live a lie to protect her husband and family? According to the Enquirer — which originally broke the story on the John Edwards cheating/lovechild scandal — Elizabeth is not only ready to file for divorce, but she want to take her husband to the cleaners.
From the National Enquirer:
“Elizabeth had always sworn she wouldn’t divorce John. But every person has a breaking point, and Elizabeth’s friends believe she’s reached hers,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.
“Elizabeth made it clear to John that she will take him for everything he’s got. She will divorce him and claim their $53 million fortune.
“Elizabeth knows every dirty little secret in her husband’s political past. She’s been his confidant for years, and she’s always kept quiet. But now she’s prepared to reveal all his secrets in open court.”
The thing that seems fishy here to me is, there doesn’t seem to be any immediate reason for Elizabeth to all of the sudden decide to bankrupt her husband…. except for the fact that John recently bought his mistress a house in their neighborhood.
According to the Enquirer, the sudden rage has to do with new revelations the John was having other affairs along the campaign trail… while Elizabeth was battling breast cancer. While it’s not really all that surprising an allegation, maybe it was the last straw.
Still, I think this story is the product of wishful thinking. I think the public kinda want to see Elizabeth Edwards take revenge and John Edwards and his baby mama get their just desserts.
