John Travolta is having to relive the tragic circumstances that lead to his son Jett’s death in the Bahamas in January.  The 55-year-old actor is testifying at the trial of the men who allegedly tried to blackmail him for $25 million, and it’s taking a toll on his emotional wellbeing.

According to sources, Travolta suffered an emotional collapse prior to the trial getting under way.

A pal said, “The worry over giving evidence had been eating away at John for months.  Just the thought of going back to the country where he and Kelly lost Jett and having to live through that nightmare again became too much for him.

“He was truly panicked by the idea of having to go on the witness stand and recall the battle for Jett’s life.”

Travolta is expected to take the stand later this week.

Can you imagine having to deal with this crap?  Losing a child is devastating beyond anything you can imagine and add to it, people (allegedly) trying to extort money during your grief?  Sick.

I hope (if) they are guilty, those men are put away for as long as the law allows.
