Rumor has it that he has developed an eating disorder. Now, Pete’s firing back, saying that if anything he’s eating plenty — staying busy is what’s keeping the pounds off. Sounds like maybe Peter Andre’s been sneaking a peak at Victoria Beckham’s diet plan.

Says Peter:

“Look, I’m the first to admit that it’s been a difficult few months, but to say I am not eating is ridiculous.

I am on the road at the moment doing my album signings, but I’m certainly not starving myself – if anything, I’m eating a load of junk every day. And I’m not having panic attacks, either.”

To be sure, Peter is probably a lot busier now than he was just a few months ago… negotiating an ugly divorce, juggling joint custody of two young kids (Junior and Princess Tiaamii), and trying to re-launch a music career will do that. Still, Pete must have lost a significant amount of weight for the tabloids to take notice.

Maybe Peter’s just trying to get back in pop star shape for his music career… then of course, maybe he’s just super stressed-out and overworked.

I do think it’s interesting that he and Victoria Beckham both gave the same reasons for being extra thin. I imagine that if Angelina Jolie ever responded to questions about her scrawny figure, she’d say the same thing: I’m to busy to be fat, but I’m too busy to be anorexic.

Judging from most of the parents I know, weight loss and having young kids do not go hand in hand. If anything, it’s the opposite.
