Brad Pitt Eyes Role In Kid-Friendly Sherlock Holmes 2

brad pitt shiloh jolie pitt Brad Pitt Eyes Role In Kid Friendly Sherlock Holmes 2Making good on his promise to take at least a few acting jobs in movies that his kids can see, Brad Pitt is reportedly in talks to play Sherlock Holmes’ arch enemy Moriarty in the already planned sequel to the currently in post-production Sherlock Holmes.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, the new Sherlock Holmes flick is destined to be the kind of hard-edged caper that will toe the line between kid-friendly and adult audiences. But, since Guy’s a father himself, I’m guessing that he’s shooting for a PG or PG-13 rating.

That’s at least one of the better reasons I can give for Brad wanting to play the movie’s villain (I’m guessing that at least Maddox would be allowed to watch it). That, or the fact that Brad apparently loves to take minor roles in Guy Ritchie movies. Who could forget that boxing gypsy with the indecipherable accent in Snatch?

And, of course, there’s also the fact that Brad’s supposed crush of the month Rachel McAdams is in the cast…

Sherlock Holmes (not featuring Brad Pitt) is set for a Christmas 2009 opening.
