Jenna Elfman: She’s a Pregnant Lady and She Plays One On TV, Too
Not only does Jenna Elfman play a pregnant woman on her new show, Accidentally On Purpose, but she’s just revealed that she and husband Bodhi Elfman are expecting a child in real life, too. (I’ve seen the show, and it’s actually pretty good. But I miss Dharma and Greg.)
“I have a baby in my tummy – but a real one, not just for my TV show,” Elfman said during an appearance on The Early Show . “My character’s pregnant the whole first season, so I said, ‘It’s a good time to have another baby, because we won’t have to hide it.’ ”
On the show, which debuts September 21, Elfman plays a single woman who gets pregnant by a much younger one-night-stand. Elfman says viewers will be able to see her burgeoning baby bump. “By episode three if you look closely once it airs, you’ll see … ‘Oh is she a little bloated? Did she have a big dinner?’”
The couple already have a son, Story Elias, 2. Congrats to the parents-to-be!
