You Betcha! Tina Wins Emmy for Sarah Palin Role
Hey look – an award acceptance that wasn’t screwed up by Kanye West! On Saturday Tina Fey won an Emmy Award for her impersonation of Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. I wonder if she saw Russia from the stage?
Fey won her award at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmys, which recognizes technical and other achievements for the 2008-09 season and precedes next weekend’s main ceremony. The actress is also up for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock at the awards airing on Sunday. I’m sure Fey’s daughter Alice is hoping for another win – last year during the SAG Awards Fey gave a huge thank-you to the 4-year-old, calling her “the funniest person in my family.”
Congratulations and good luck, Tina!
