Janet Jackson in VMA Tribute to Michael (VIDEO)
I think I can safely say that the long-awaited Michael Jackson tribute on the MTV Video Music Awards tonight lived up to all the hype. See the video after the jump.
Featuring dancers performing to ‘Thriller’ and ‘Smooth Criminal’ and ‘Bad,’ it had everyone on their feet. The tribute closed with Janet Jackson performing with her brother, dancing to the superimposed image of Michael in the video for ‘Scream.’What a fitting tribute to a great artist. I hope Michael’s kids Paris, Prince and Blanket were watching – they would be so proud to see the love and respect in the room for their father. (Too bad Kanye had to go and ruin the mood.)
