Jon Gosselin’s Actions Are Hurting His Children
Jon Gosselin’s latest interview with ABC’s Chris Cuomo was supposed to show him in a better light to the public. However, it didn’t turn out quite that way and the worst part about it? His actions are only going to hurt his eight children.
Gosselin’s Good Morning America and prime time’s Family Secrets interviews, were geared to try to help the reality TV dad’s public imagine, but… FAIL.
Jon made some angry comments about Kate and their marriage/pending divorce, and he’s apparently not seeing the big picture: that his actions and words will only upset their eight kids.
Jon talked of how much more he loves his new 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, than he ever loved Kate and how he can’t even stand to sit next to Kate, among other things… all stuff the children will probably one day see. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but now there is a record of their father saying hurtful things about their mother.
Cathy Meyer, a Certified Divorce Couch, Marriage Educator and Legal Investation, who writes for About.com, says Jon is absolutely hurting his kids and doesn’t seem to get that they are suffering through the pain of their parents divorcing.
“Every action he takes and every word he speaks reflects badly on his children and only subjects them to more attention from the media. Why can’t Jon see that?”
Because he’s acting like an idiot right now? He really needs to get a clue and stop trashing Kate. Fine, if he wants to slam her behind closed doors where no one hears him, whatever. But to put it all out, on record, just not cool. And eight small children will be the ones to suffer.

New Gosselin Drama! Kate In Tears! | Famecrawler commented on Sep 11 09 at 1:05 pm[...] Jon Gosselin speaking out was supposed to repair his public image, however, it’s only made it worse. Probably with all the trash-talking he did about his soon-to-be ex-wife Kate, but honestly, he’s not a bad guy. He’s just misunderstood. Of course. [...]
Jon Gosselin? He’s Just Misunderstood | Famecrawler commented on Sep 11 09 at 4:32 pmMama Bear commented on Sep 10 09 at 3:47 pmTrust me- their kids will know. The oldest goes to school, and as soon as possible they will be told. Frenemies lurk around every corner.
Ali commented on Sep 10 09 at 6:46 pmI really think that guy does not want his kids at all. He seems to do everything he can to alienate them. Talking bad about a child’s mother or father is the kiss of death. Soon they willnot want to see him at all and I think that is what he wants. That way he can turn back time and be a little boy all over again.

Yes, those kids do know. If when Kate and Jon are together ‘for the kids’ and they do not speak to each other and avoid each other, the kids most definitely see this. If you just look at their faces in a lot of the pictures you will see that they are not smiling. They both need to get out of the limelight.
