David Beckham Got An Anniversary Tattoo Too
Are tattoos really that great of a gift? Or are they just a cop out? According to a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres, both Posh and David Beckham got each other surprise tattoos (on their own bodies) for their 10 year wedding anniversary. How sweet, right?
Hey, at least they seem to be genuinely dedicated to each other and their family. Katie Price only had to get one tattoo removed, David would pretty much have to spend a year in the hospital getting those babies off. From David’s interview with Ellen Degeneres:
“I had 10 roses around my arms…for the 10 years… I always seem to do pretty well. She always seems to be happy with the gifts that I get her…
It not always about buying gifts for each other. We just make sure that we spend time together or go for dinner together,” he goes on. “That is important to us.”
Sure, I get that. I really do. But if my spouse came home and said ‘happy anniversary, I got a new tattoo!’ I’d probably say, ‘great, where’s my anniversary gift.’
Does anybody else think that’s a cop out? I guess if they both got their tats without the other one knowing and then they surprised each other, and it was all like Gift of the Magi and stuff… that could be kinda romantic.
What I can’t wait for is looking at their family portrait in like 15 years. Apparently, the Beckham boys are super excited to follow in their parents footprints when it comes to collecting tattoos. So, by the time the boys are all 18, there’s no telling how many pieces of body art they’ll be sporting.
I will say this for the two of them, at least they’re not super boring and conventional. No tennis bracelets here, unless they’re tattooed on Victoria’s wrist.
