Gwen Stefani Rocks Out on Glamour
Available September 8, you can find rock princess Gwen Stefani gracing the cover of Glamour magazine’s October issue. Inside, she talks about husband Gavin Rossdale (who used to have testicles when he fronted the group Bush, but seems to have lost them in his solo career). Gwen also hits on her boys, Kingston and Zuma, in the interview.
On Gavin: “I always thought he’d be a good dad. He has basically lived up to that and beyond. He’s very, very passionate, and he’s very intense. He’s made to be a dad. I’m very lucky.” No, sweetie. HE’S the lucky one.
On her absence from tabloids: “Maybe my crazy time is coming up. Let’s see what happens. Maybe I’m just a late bloomer. But I think it’s also just my nature.”
On keeping free from trouble: “I was thinking today when I was driving, ‘How am I going to make sure that Kingston never does anything bad and doesn’t get arrested? How did I stay out of trouble?’ And I know it’s just ’cause my parents are so strict. I mean, I’m still scared of them.” She’s spoiling the whole Rock Star Image for me.
On being blonde and wearing red lipstick: “That’s my whole obsession with old Hollywood. I always loved watching all those old movies, and still do…if I had time.”
On the surprising aspects of Momhood: “How hard it is – everything from getting up in the morning to trying to be consistent to trying to have the right feelings. But, of course, the rewards are so great.” My therapist(s) would say there are no such thing as WRONG feelings or RIGHT feelings. But then, clearly I’m englightened and Gwen isn’t quite there yet. *cough*
