Did songstress Mariah Carey suffer a miscarriage? According to sources the 40-year-old star collapsed in tears, believing she will never have a baby.
Mariah, who is married to 28-year-old America’s Got Talent host, Nick Cannon, is worried that she will never be a mom.
There were pregnancy rumors for the celebrity, but it’s believed she may have miscarried – or she thought she did.
A pal said, “She had a heavier than normal period and she thought she was miscarrying.
“Mariah and Nick had been trying for a baby for a while, and the thought that she had lost the child just crushed her. She knows that at age 40 she would be a high-risk mom, and realizes that if she’s going to start a family, she should do it now.”
The source added, “She is desperate to have a baby with Nick. That fear is just consuming her. She can’t get it out of her head that something is going to go wrong. It is making her miserable.”
Lots of women conceive at an older age and go on to have a family – good luck Mariah and Nick!

Sarah was almost 100 years old and she had a baby. Dear God, please bless Mariah and Nick with a baby before January, 2011. Thank You Lord. amen
