Michael Jackson’s Family Speaks Out on Homicide Charge
Just hours after the cause of Michael Jackson’s death was revealed and the Los Angeles County Coroner ruled his death a homicide, his still-grieving family spoke out.
“The Jackson family has full confidence in the legal process, and commends the ongoing efforts of the L.A. County Coroner, the L.A. District Attorney and the L.A. Police Department,” the late singer’s family said in a statement.
The homicide ruling makes it likely that criminal charges will be brought against Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who was with Jackson right before he died and is believed to have administered the fatal dose of propofol. And while the statement doesn’t mention anyone by name, it makes clear the family’s intention. “The family looks forward to the day that justice can be served,” the statement read.
Let’s hope that day arrives for Jackson’s family, and especially his children.
