Shiloh has reportedly been telling family and friends that she wants “to do what mommy and daddy do” when she grows up. Since Brangelina have committed to helping their children follow their dreams, does this mean that Shiloh is going to be the next McCauley Culkin?

Let’s hope not. Child stars are notorious for turning into screwed up adults, so why would Brangelina want that? Shiloh’s already made her celluloid debut  on Brad’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

From the National Enquirer:

“At first, Brad and Angie laughed off the interest, but as she’s grown older, they haven’t been able to help but notice how Shi constantly poses in the mirror and puts on her own mini-plays,” said the friend.

“As a result, they’re looking into getting her an acting coach, and they’ve decided to ease her into the film world by first securing her small roles in their own pictures. They’re even batting around the idea of putting Shi in a performing arts school program.”

Honestly, when you say you’re going to help your children achieve their aspirations, I’m not sure you can really start holding yourself to that standard at age 3.

It sounds like Brad and Angie might be suffering from incorrect terminology here. A person’s “dreams” (if they ever really have any) can’t usually be realized before the age of 10. Before that, I’d call those “phases.”

At age three, I wanted to be a brontosaurus. Then, as it turns out, that’s not only impossible, but there never was such thing as a brontosaurus anyway. That was a harsh reality to deal with. That’s probably why I’m jaded.
