According to a source close to the Madonna clan, Madge’s kids see their potential step-dad as just “mommy’s friend.” Do they know something we don’t?

Apparently the couple was seen smooching it up on the terrace of Portofino’s luxurious Hotel Splendido, and according to friends, Madonna did refer to Jesus as “the love of my life.”

While that seems a little way over the top at this point — considering that Madonna has only been dating Jesus for a few months of her now 51 years — it appears that perhaps everyone except Madonna and Jesus see how odd the pairing seems to be.

Now, it’s fair to say that if this were a 51-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, sure, it would seem nearly as unusual. We’d think: ‘he’s juvenile and rich and she’s a gold digger.’

So, does that make Jesus a gold digger?
