Does Will Ferrell Have A Long Lost Twin?
Unfortunately, no, but the similarity is nearly uncanny. Chad Smith, longtime drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and father of 5 recently sat down for an interview where he discussed his resemblance to his hysterical brother from another mother.
From NY Daily News:
“People come up to me in airports, and they’re asking for my autograph not because I’m the drummer for the Chili Peppers. They really think I’m Will Ferrell,” Smith tells AOL’s Spinner. “[I say] ‘No, I’m not.’ But they’re still like, ‘I loved you in ‘Old School.’ You’re so funny.’ ”
That must be kind of annoying, especially when you’ve been around twice as long as the person you’re being compared with.
Yet another similarity linking the doppelgangers: they’ve both got their hands full with young families. Chad Smith has five kids; Manon, 12, Justin, 12, Ava, 8, Cole, 4, and Beckett, 1. Now tell me that’s a family that’s not hard to keep up with.
Currently, Chad is touring with his recently formed supergroup Chickenfoot, featuring Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Joe Satriani. How he finds time to keep up with his family and tour, I’ll never know.
