Brad Pitt Is Not Joining The Sherlock Homes Cast
So there was a rumor going around that Brad Pitt was going to join the Sherlock Homes cast to play the villain Moriarty.
It was bandied back and forth in the UK tabloids, but now the rumor is being refuted by the studio execs themselves.
They say, “The report in today’s London Mirror is completely inaccurate. Brad Pitt is not joining the cast of Sherlock Holmes and we’re extremely pleased with the production of the film. As planned, it will be released on Christmas Day, 2009. In order to complete the movie, we’ve scheduled a few days on set to shoot a couple of additional scenes, obtain pick-up shots, and perfect some of the visual effects elements, all of which is standard filmmaking practice.”
That’s too bad. I think Brad Pitt would look great all dressed up in the garb of the era. Plus he would definitely add to the man candy aspect of the film.
It looks like his kids will get more time with him in Los Angeles, or wherever they head off to next.
