Victoria Beckham Disappoints In Idol Debut
Last week, the gossip world was abuzz with rumors that Victoria Beckham would replace Paula on American Idol. This week, the big news is that Victoria… will probably be spending plenty of time taking care of her sons in the next few months. In other words: her AI debut kinda sucked.
From Radar’s supposed inside source:
“It didn’t go too well…
“She tried to hard to be ‘nice,’ but came off as icy and wooden,” the source added.
That’s not to say that anyone was really expecting the busy fashion designer and celebrity mom to be just bursting at the seams with colorful, witty comments for the tone-deaf contestants. Still, when the words used to describe your performance are icy, wooden, stiff, or corpse-like you know that you’re probably not going to be an Idol mainstay.
Posh was apparently looking to make a wholly different impression on AI viewers:
“I’m going to try hard to pout and not shatter the illusion that I’m a moody cow, but I don’t know if I can – I’m just so happy,”
Oh well, she gave it a shot… and I’m sure she got paid handsomely for the effort. Now she can go back to her life coach Tom Cruise and figure out what to do next.
