Taye Diggs of “Private Practice” fame (but I’ll always remember him as he was on “Ally McBeal”) cannot wait for the birth of his son next month. He and expectant wife Idina Menzel are ready for just about everything…aside from naming the boy.

Taye, 38, says, “We have a spot in New York and one in L.A. Idina has both nurseries done. She did them herself, painted them, and today she’s putting together a bassinet. My wife is so on it!”

Damn, dude. You make your about-to-drop-she’s-so-freaking-pregnant WIFE put together the bassinet?

Taye adds, “We have a couple names in the running, but part of us wants to see what he hits us with when we see…what he looks like.”

tayediggs003 238x300 Taye Diggs Private Practicing to Meet His Baby BoyTaye and Idina have been discussing parenting with lots of close friends and they can’t wait to try it on for themselves. “Everyone keeps telling me how amazing it’s going to be. Once the birth happens, everything is going to change on every level.”

Oh, Taye, it changes everything on a sub-atomic level. There are no words, for reals.

This is hard to say considering my forever crush on Taye, but *sniff* Congratulations, the two of you! Gonna be a beautiful baby.
