Should Joe Jackson Be Allowed To See His Grandchildren?
Joe Jackson may have come as close today as he ever will to admitting that he abused MJ as a child. In declaration to the court in the custody case of his grandchildren, Joe promised to keep his distance from Prince, Paris, and Blanket.
Weird huh? It’s almost as if he’s finally accepting credit for being an abusive, or at the very least a really bad, father.
From the declaration:
“I have had a close family relationship with these grandchildren since their birth. I do visit the family residence from time to time and will continue to do so, however I will not be involved in raising the children.”
Joe continues, “I understand that all decision-making authority regarding the children will rest with Katherine Jackson. Katherine Jackson is a wonderful caretaker and guardian, and has done an excellent job raising our children and other grandchildren.”
To make it doubly strange, Katherine Jackson is still defending Joe. Obviously, some of the rumors have been blown way out of proportion, but Katherine still maintains that all of the abuse allegations were completely bogus.
From an interview with Geraldo:
“My husband’s never done nothing of the sort that they trying to say he did 39 years ago. I don’t understand that, and I just believe it’s something that they cooked up.”
Heck, even Joe’s halfway owning up to it.
