madschool angie 194x300 Maddox Jolie Pitt Turns 8 Today!Happy Birthday Maddox Chivan! The adopted child of Angelina Jolie (and later Brad Pitt) was born on August 5th, 2001 in Cambodia. Less than a year later, he met his future mother at an orphanage in Battambang while she was there filming Tomb Raider, and the rest is history…

According to Angelina:

“He changed everything, but in the most wonderful way. Everything that should matter, matters. He’s absolutely the center of my life.”

Apparently, Maddox is even partially responsible for getting Brad and Angelina together, no joke. Angie brought him on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, where the toddler immediately took to Brad, which obviously scored him major points with Angelina. Says Angie:

“Maddox out of the blue called him Dad. It was amazing.”

Personally, I think Brad taught him to say that while Angie was busy filming. Still, it worked.

As a birthday gift, Brad got the 8 year-old his own mini-chopper and a diamond encrusted helmet. Not really, but he must have bought Maddox a pretty awesome birthday present after dropping close to $25K on Shiloh’s b-day.
