Toya Carter’s New Boyfriend James Hardy Has A Shady Past?
Antonia “Toya” Carter, ex-wife and baby mama of Lil Wayne, has been dating NFLer James Hardy, but he may not be the best choice for her, or her daughter Reginae. Hardy has been accused of abusing his ex-girlfriend and their baby.

One of MediaTakeOut.com’s readers told us some mess about him [James Hardy]. Here’s what were told:
While he played college football/basketball for Indiana University, he was arrested for assaulting his baby momma.
His friends and teammates said it was out of drunken rage, but nonetheless, unacceptable! Just tell Toya to keep her guard up!!!
And before you all go thinking this is just some crazy rumor – here’s what we found in a 2006 article printed on the EXTREMELY RELIABLE website Scout.com:
Hardy was arrested May 19 after Ft. Wayne police responded to a 911 call at [ADDRESS REDACTED] at 5:40 p.m. On the call, dispatchers reportedly could hear profanity and screaming before the caller hung up.
When police later arrived at the scene, Hardy’s girlfriend was found sitting across the street from the house crying, and her shirt was reportedly torn and she had marks on the side and back of her neck.
A probable cause affidavit states Hardy struck his girlfriend of seven years and their infant son.
Yikes, doesn’t sound good, and while we don’t know for sure what happened, hopefully Toya is cautious about who she allows around her 10-year-old daughter. I’m sure Lil Wayne is a protective daddy!

I actually cried because I was so happy to see her beaming from the date to the OMG show to Rudy coming home to the ATL. It was a very special show to me and was a perfect ending to the season. I got so excited that I google them to see if they went on any more dates because he seemed so perfect for her-a southern gentleman. Now that’s what I a talking about there is hope for this 30 somthing city girl-lol. Anyhoo-I hope that this can blossom into a really great relationship, but only time will tell. We can not judge this man because we were not there and stories get tirned around and spent upside down. Besides, this was how long ago and can’t people change for the better. Besides, James would not want that trouble-he seems to be a sweetie pie. Go Toya-cuz he is fine too and tall! Have fun, live your life and God Bless! I love those cute OMGirlz(?). Hardy’s relationship with his ex has no bearing whatsoever on Toya or Reginae. I’m convinced that she is smart enough to make that decision for both she and her family. If for whatever reason, he turns out to be a jerk (and I have no reason to believe that he will), she’ll know exactly what to do. Some of those who responded with negative comments act as if they themselves have NEVER been there. Many of us met people that we thought were ideal mates and sometime in the future (near of far) came to realize that they did not really know the person, they outgrew the person, and they just went their separate ways. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The problem exists when you continue to remain in the relationship knowing how it will eventually end up. I am happy to see Toya moving on with her life and making great strides in her career – making a name for herself – being so much more than Lil Wayne’s ex-wife. She’s smart, beautiful and hopefully Hardy complements her. Who knows what is in store for them. I personally wish her the best.
