David Beckham’s Kids Not Embarrassed By His Underwear Ads
In an interview with People magazine (which he probably agreed to do simply in order to repair his public image) David Beckham answered questions about all sorts of parenting issues from how he named his boys to whether they’ve seen his underwear ads.
The interview does touch briefly on David’s harsh reception by LA Galaxy fans since his return, but it doesn’t really even mention the fact that he’s been fined for shouting back at them and repeatedly losing his cool. Says Beckham, “it’s sometimes nice to get the boos – its gives you inspiration.” Uh huh, sure… sometimes.
If you were wondering how David and Victoria named Brooklyn and Romeo, we already know how they named Cruz, here’s your answer:
“With Brooklyn, we found out when we were in New York that Victoria was pregnant with him, so that’s where his name comes from. Romeo comes from [the fact] that we’re a very romantic couple. When we first met Tom Cruise – actually quite a few years ago – I said ‘Isn’t Cruise a really nice name?’ And Cruz came from that. Tom was one of the first people we phoned when Cruz was born and told him.”
Honestly, if I was an underwear model, I have no idea how I’d broach the subject with my kids — not that there’s anything to be ashamed of or anything. Apparently, this is how Beckham dealt with it:
“When they first saw them, they were like “Daddy, why are you in your underwear so everyone can see?” They don’t mind. If they were older they’d be embarrassed, maybe.”

They have been recycling images him hanged in effigy and inciting others, the media etc to start some public ‘lynching’ of him by way of public banners, their fan sites etc of him’advocating some sort of lynching. This LA RIOT SQUAD is obviously appropriately named!
It is only human for him to react and that was verbally…..who knows how far it can go if these fans don’t stop their hate!
The MLS Commissioner acknowledged that the fans have crossed the line. This public bashing of David is unfair and uncalled for as he went to Milan with the approval of the LA Galaxy and he compensated the club/MLS for his time there – out of his own pocket.
These ‘fans’ named the RIOT SQUAD need to STOP HATING!BTW , this Q & A interview by David was advertised on PEOPLE long before the fan incident.
