Update: Mel Gibson Assault A Hoax
In case you hadn’t already figured this out, Mel Gibson is a teeny bit protective of his baby mama. According to reports, one photographer got his shirt ripped to shreds by Braveheart himself last night after getting a little too close to Oksana.
Mel and Oksana Grigorieva were reportedly hanging out at an LA nightclub when the alleged “battery” took place. Said one onlooker (before the ugly little incident went down):
“Mel looked so happy and in love”
As the story goes, a Life & Style photographer, posing as a fan, was having trouble getting a shot of Mel and his pregnant GF on account of VIP security. When the tenacious reporter sent her friend Karlis Gajevskis in to snap the couple, Mel lost it. Accord to a source:
“Mel approached the guy who tried to take his picture and ripped his shirt.”
Check out a picture of the guy’s shirt here, it’s pretty thoroughly shredded. Reportedly, Mel and Oksana left the club immediately, and so did the thwarted photog — straight to the police station … to file battery charges.
If it wasn’t clear before — from Mel’s crazy rants to the cops and to his church’s congregation — Mel is getting a little crotchety these days. If you’re emotionally attached to the shirt you’re wearing, tread lightly and politely around Oksana.
UPDATE: The LAPD is calling BS on the photographer’s story. Apparently, police are suspicious over the guy’s story AND, since there are no injuries, they’re not too interested in pursuing battery charges.
