Katie Holmes Escapes Injury In Car Fire

Katie Holmes, who is currently in Australia filming Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, had a scary mishap over the weekend when a car being used on set caught fire.

The vehicle being used was not supposed to catch fire, but the car’s battery reportedly exploded, causing smoke, sparks and ultimately there were flames.

Luckily, Katie was not injured but she was no doubt shook up!  Hopefully, daughter Suri was not near the set at the time - Katie often takes her along and spends time with her between takes.  That would have been frightening for the tot!

Glad everyone involved is OK!
