Katherine Heigl May Take Time Out From Being Mean to Adopt Some Kids
So, Katherine Heigl isn’t exactly Miss Popularity lately. But it appears the actress would like to take a break from insulting the writers and slamming the crew on her show Grey’s Anatomy to have some kids. Adopt one, even! I just knew there was a beating heart in there somewhere.
In an interview with Access Hollywood Heigl talked about having kids with musician husband Josh Kelley. “I don’t know. I mean, we’re working on it. It’s just we are super crazed. You want to be sure that we can both slow down just enough,” she said. “Neither one of us want to give up our careers, neither one of us want to, you know, just be parents, but you have to slow down a little bit in order to devote the time that’s needed.”
As for adopting, Heigl says that desire comes from her own family. “My sister [Meg] is Korean. My parents adopted her in the ‘70s,” she said. “I just grew up that way and she’s one of my bestest friends and she’s my sister too and I just felt like I kind of want that in my family too.”
