Billy Bob’s Daughter Released On Bail
Billy Bob Thornton’s estranged daughter Amanda Brumfield was released on $279,000 bail over the weekend. Now she awaits a trial where she will face charges of 1st degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter.
Brumfield will finally get to go home to her own two children for the first time since late June when a the 1 year-old she was babysitting died from a massive skull fracture. The case is still pending, but the trial is expected to begin in December.
Amanda claims that the baby fell out of her playpen, but detectives immediately suspected foul play after the injury didn’t appear to be consistent with the story.
Reportedly, Billy Bob and his daughter hadn’t spoken in the years leading up to the incident, and though no official word has been given, it appears as though Billy Bob hasn’t spoken to his oldest daughter since she was indicted either.
How do you not get involved when something like this happens to your daughter — even if you weren’t on the best of terms? They must have had a really intense falling out.

Friend of Amanda commented on May 21 11 at 8:56 pmIt’s hard to have a falling out when they’ve never had a relationship. Billy left Amanda’s mom and her when she was about a year old. He has not met either one of her children, his grandchildren, and has not been part of her life. In fact, he signed over his parental rights so that Amanda could be adopted by her mothers new husband.
