Iron Chef Star Cat Cora Gives Birth!!
Iron Chef star Catherine “Cat” Cora has given birth for the first time! She and wife Jennifer have welcomed their fourth son together!
Cat’s rep told OK!: “Cat gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on July 19th at 4:41pm PST. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 5 oz., and measured 20 inches.”
They have called their son Nash Lemuel Cora. Cat and wife Jennifer said baby Nash’s name was inspired by two things. It means “the adventurer” and since he’s traveled with Cat over the last few months, it was fitting. Lemuel is Cat’s maternal grandfather’s name and is Hebrew for “Gift from God.”
Nash joins big brothers Zoran, Caje, and baby Thatcher, who just arrived on April 4.
Cat and Jennifer have a very interesting family story, from Earthtimes.org:
Together for nearly ten years, the Cora’s share a unique family story in which both women have carried the other’s biological child. Cat’s pregnancy is a result of in-vitro fertilization with Jennifer’s embryo. The couple’s sons, ages 5 years and 23 months, were both carried by Jennifer. She was artificially inseminated for her first pregnancy, but the second she carried to term using Cat’s embryo. In Jennifer’s current pregnancy, both women’s embryos were implanted, so the biological mother is unknown. They do not to plan to conduct DNA testing to determine the baby’s biological mother.
Each of the couple’s children was conceived through insemination or in-vitro with the same anonymous sperm donor, making the children biological brothers.
Congratulations!!!!
