Jens Voigt Crashes in Tour de France (VIDEO)

Veteran cyclist Jens Voigt of Germany was involved in a bloody crash in the 16th leg of the Tour de France today. Voigt lost consciousness and was raced to the hospital in Grenoble. “He lost consciousness for three to four minutes,” official race doctor Gerard Porte told a French newspaper. “He has injuries mainly to his face and when he gets to the hospital he will be having a full scan.” See the crash in the video below.
Voigt has five kids – the youngest is not quite two years old. This must be a scary sight for them to witness – no child likes to see their parents in any kind of danger. Glad to hear Voigt’s injuries don’t sound too serious at this point, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
