Obama Wears “Mom” Jeans (PHOTO & VIDEO)
President Obama threw out the first pitch at the 2009 MLB All-Star game, and while some may have thought that was thrilling, others were more focused on what he was wearing… specifically, a pair of ”mom” jeans.
Video after the jump!
Apparently “fashionistas” all over the country were talking about Obama’s pants. Priorities, right? Seriously, we should be discussing whether or not Michelle Obama is pregnant! Duh.
So, what are “mom” jeans? Well, they are high-waisted pants, with a very long front zipper and you have to make sure your shirt is tucked into them, to accentuate the high-waistedness of the jeans of course! And if a dad is wearing a similar type jean, are they “dad” jeans? Guess so?
I wonder if the Obamas get wind of this stuff? They must get a laugh about it if they do. Daughters Malia and Sasha, however, might get embarrassed… I mean it would be mortifying enough if mom were actually wearing “mom” jeans, but if your dad wore them, yikes, 10 times as bad! Omigosh daddy wore “mom” jeans, or “dad” jeans, whatevs… I’ll never be able to show my face in public again!
And, if you’re still unclear about “mom” jeans, watch this short, hilarious vintage SNL clip… talking all about “mom” jeans.
PS…I’m a mom, and I can safely say I have never put a pair of them on my body, EVER. No offense to those who like them.

Leslie commented on Jul 21 09 at 4:40 pmI agree with Ali “Straight men, especially middle aged ones with an education, dont wear hip huggers or baggy rapper jeans. Those are for teens, gay men and goofballs trying to look young.” ALSO … maybe if people were not so obsessed with the most trendy jeans (and paying $250 for a pair of them and anything else similar to try to be cool) we would not be in the financial/economic mess that we are in. FREAKIN brainwashed consumerism has ruined the USA.
lynn commented on Jul 21 09 at 4:56 pmI think President Obama looks sexy in them jeans (designer or not). My gosh…people grow up and stop critizing what certain people can and can not wear or what they look best in. There are bigger things to worry about in our country and outside. So stop hating and start loving! Times have changed…WE are a free country! LAND OF THE FREE!

The guy won’t take credit for ANYTHING!!! Blames the White House Wardrobe for his jeans. Blames the economy on Bush, even though Dems have controlled Congress for the LAST TWO YEARS!!! Ya, ask me … he wears mom panties!!!
Donna commented on Jul 21 09 at 6:40 pmDoesn’t anyone have anything better to do than comment on other people’s wardrobes, whether it be the president of the United States or someone else? There are Soldiers in Iraq and A-Stan that could use some of the time and energy in the form of support, that people are putting into commenting on wardrobes or how someone threw a baseball. Geez, where is everyone’s prioritys?
Give a Soldier support. You’d be surprised at how appreciative they are and it’s for a ‘WORTHY’ cause!
