Michael Jackson’s Kids To Auntie Janet: Be Our Mommy
Michael Jackson’s children, Prince, 12, Paris,11, and Blanket, 7, want their auntie Janet Jackson to be their mommy now that their father has passed away. The kids have been looking to Janet for “comfort” to help them deal with their tragic loss.
A pal said, “All three want Janet to read to them at night. They just melt into her arms when she walks into the house.
“Janet has completely bonded with those children in the last two weeks. She has been their rock. It’s clear to everyone that they are looking to her for comfort and guidance.”
The children currently live with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, as she has temporary custody. Michael specified in his will that he wanted his mom to raise his kids should something ever happen to him while they are young. However, he was apparently going to amend his will to include sister Janet.
The Jackson source added, “Janet is not only willing to raise those children, she is also the only relative who knows how to protect them. Janet knows the value of a private life and knows how to keep her personal life out of the news. She is determined to do that for Michael’s children. She is saying that he would want no less for them, pointing out how far he went to shelter them.”
While Katherine Jackson no doubt loves her grandkids, she is 79 and it will be harder as time goes on, for her to be able to care for the children. Janet would probably make a suitable guardian for the kids and be able to help them deal with the pressures of being in the public eye.
Michael spoke to Janet on a regular basis in recent years, and the late pop star made sure his kids stayed in touch with her as well.
“Ultimately, he wanted Janet to look after the children, with help from his mother Katherine, and was planning to draft a new will to reflect those wishes. He trusted Janet implicitly,” said an insider.
“When he had health concerns, he had a talk with Janet about how much she meant to him and the children, and how if anything happened to him, he wanted her to make sure the children would be loved and cared for in the same way he was raising them. She told him of course she would.”
The Jackson family is reportedly on board with the idea of Janet caring for the children. “The family think this could be a great idea – they are supportive of Katherine, but although she is in good health, she is nearly 80 and they are worried she is not up to the task.”
The source said, “Janet is blossoming into a woman with tremendous untapped maternal instincts. The children automatically turn to her for comfort and direction.”

Sandi B. commented on Jul 22 09 at 1:30 amI don’t see why the children shouldn’t be with Janet, just because she doesn’t have any children, doesn’t mean she isn’t capable of raising them. They are old enough to make their own decision about whom they want to be with and if the choose Janet, then let it be. Michael loved his children unconditionally and he knew what was best for them. I don’t have any children of my own, but I raised my brothers and sisters and I also raised my neice, does that mean I don’t have any maternal instincts. A lot of women don’t have maternal insticts right away, they just come with time. Michael has been criticized even in death, I wish people would just leave hime alone. He was a remarkable human being and there will never be another like him. God Bless, Prince, Paris and Blanket!!!! They are his GREATEST legacy!!!!

if you go on youtube and watch michael’s private home movies (a heartwarming special from FOX–way back when fox was a good station), you’ll see that janet is a lot like michael. they think very much alike and are ultimately kind, fun-loving people. i think she would make a good mom. and the kids sure do seem to like her. but whatever, the custody already went to katherine, right?
