Mechelle McNair, wife of slain football player Steve McNair, and her sons said their goodbyes on Saturday, July 11, at the Reed Green Coliseum.  McNair’s funeral was one the biggest in recent Mississippi history.

So sad that the McNair boys have to grow up without their dad.  Mechelle will now have to begin the process of moving forward and being strong for their sons.  Hopefully she is surrounded by a strong support system of family and friends to help her through these sad and difficult times.

Steve McNair was found dead in his rented condo on July 4, 2009.  Authorities believe he was shot and killed by his 20-year-old lover Sahel Kazemi, who then shot herself.
