CBS reality show Big Brother host Julie Chen – who also appears on The Early Show – and her husband, CBS President and CEO, Les Moonves, will welcome their first child together in October.  Julie has revealed that they are having a son!

Chen, 39, revealed her big news on Wednesday during The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.  She said, “It’s a boy!”  Julie added, “We decided that after the 4th of July, we would release [the news].”

Julie and Les recently went on a “babymoon,” and said being pregnant is “the best way to travel with your baby.”  Baby has food all the time, he’s always with you, and you don’t have to carry anything.  She’s right about that!

The TV personality said she and Les are trying to come up with names.  “We’ve talked about names and it’s funny because I always thought I would never be one of those people that wanted an original name.  Like, sometimes [names] are made-up words that aren’t really even words.”

Chen explained, “I have a friend whose name is Ronal.  It’s actually spelled Ron and Al, because her dad is Ron and her mom is Allison… And then when I found out I was pregnant, I was thinking my husband’s name is Leslie… So, we’ll probably stick to a traditional boy name.”  Julie joked,  “Maybe Craig!  That is a nice name.  It’s a studly name.”

Their son will join Les’ grown children from a previous marriage – Adam, Michael, and Sara.

Big Brother’s 11th season premiered last night (July 9) on CBS.

Craig is a nice name but if you want to be like your friend Ronal’s parents, you could name your son Julius, not phenetically the same but it would be a combination of Julia and Leslie. :) Just a thought…CONGRATS!
