Kate Gosselin Is Now An A-lister?
Sure, her marriage may be in shambles, and her show may be on hold, but that doesn’t seem to be affecting Kate’s celebrity status. She’s apparently been invited to Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference to share her feminine wisdom with the masses along side Katie Couric, Cindy McCain, Elizabeth Edwards and Kelly Preston.
Now, is she scheduled to be a speaker? That much we don’t yet know as of yet, but still, the invitation is an honor usually reserved for A-list celebrities. Does this mean Kate is on the A-list?
Is Maria Shriver – First Lady of California – lowering her standards? Is Octomom going to get an invitation too?
Apparently, inviting Kate Gosselin wasn’t Maria’s idea. Her daughters are big Jon & Kate Plus 8 fans, and they really wanted Kate on the list.
I guess Kate could take credit for parlaying her sextuplets into a lucrative TV career, but I’m not sure that any of it was her idea.
Not to mention, with the level of media over-exposure that her family’s been exposed to, I wonder if many women want to here her ideas. Plenty of people have apparently developed a (how do I say this?) passionate distaste for the celebrity child exploiter mom.

They are using her to bolster their image and to get attention for the conference, which has been ignored in recent years. Arnold gave a speech at the conference in which he bragged about “kicking nurse’s butts.” Why would Kate, a former nurse, want to be associated with scum like that?
