Corey Feldman Goes To Jackson Funeral Dressed Up As MJ
I don’t know whether this is in bad taste, or if it’s a kinda cool tribute, but Goonies star Corey Feldman showed up to the Staples Center decked out as MJ during his “Dangerous” period.
Feldman, who apparently feels that he’s one of Michael Jackson’s kindred spirits, used his wardrobe choice as a kind of personal memorial to his fellow child star. According to reports, his outfit definitely raised some eyebrows, especially from John Mayer.
Say what you will about Corey’s goofy way of showing solidarity, but at least he went the whole 9 yards with the black fedora, military jacket, sunglasses and a few strands of hair in his face.
Michael and Corey were close for a time back in the 80s –presumably bonding over the fact that they’d both lost their childhood to super-stardom– but after a falling out, they never resumed the friendship.
Corey has said that Michael taught him a lot about how to treat fans… and about how damaging fame can be to a child. From an interview about Corey’s 4 year-old son Zen:
“I never wanted Zen to be a part of the show. Susie and my feelings are that we want to keep him as far away from the entertainment business as possible.”
