Actor Simon Pegg Welcomes A Daughter!

Shaun of the Dead actor Simon Pegg, 39, and his wife Maureen McCann welcomed their first child – a baby girl!
From Usmagazine.com:
Pegg, who announced McCann was five months pregnant in February, is already godfather to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s five-year-old daughter Apple.
The star, who most recently appeared in the new Star Trek reboot, has been ready to be a doting dad for awhile.
“It’s the most important thing to me,” he has said. “I’m very excited. I want to be a really good dad, a good influence and a good role model — someone my child can turn to, whatever the hell that means… It’s all to do with your attitude and making sure they stay grounded, but making sure they aren’t deprived of anything.”
Congratulations! I’m guessing Simon will be a totally cool and fun daddy!
We’ll update with further details as they become available.
*Update*
As is being reported by various news sources (don’t know who told them, ‘cos it wasn’t us) we had a little girl last week. Name, weight, time, place etc all belong to us and we won’t be going out of our way to divulge them anytime soon. Rest assured, everyone is well.
Thanks for all your well wishes though, they are greatly appreciated.
Love,
Simon.x
