Private Funeral for Michael Jackson Set for Tuesday Morning
Prior to Tuesday’s public memorial for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center, the Jackson family will have a chance to mourn in private. A family source is revealing that Jackson’s close family – including his parents, brothers and sisters – will gather together at Forest Lawn Memorial park at 8am Tuesday morning.
The source also adds that Jackson’s body will not be at the public memorial, and that Jackson’s three children are being kept busy with family. No mention is made if the kids will be attending either memorial, but it makes sense that they would attend the private funeral, in order to say goodbye to their father without the crowds and media circus that’s sure to surround the public event.
It appears the family is doing everything they can to shield the kids from the over-the-top media coverage that Jackson’s death has received. “Michael’s kids are with their family and hanging out with their cousins and their pets,” says the family source. “They’re watching a lot of movies and stuff, but the family is keeping them away from watching normal TV.”
