Why Is Brad Pitt Doing Cheesy Bank Commercials? (Video)
TV commercials are great gigs for aspiring Hollywood actors, but when you’re Brad Pitt, is there really a good reason to appear in commercials that aren’t promoting adoption or charitable causes?
Does this commercial lend any credibility to the rumor that Brangelina may be on the outs? Did Softbank make him an offer he couldn’t refuse? Or does Angie just have a tight grip on the purse strings?
Or, is Brad taking all the cash gigs he can get to help finance a major celebrity breakup with six kids and all sorts of real estate at stake? Not exactly the most likely explanation, but Brad and Jen reunion theory is absurdly popular right now.
Apparently, this is Brad’s 5th commercial for Softbank and the director is none other than Spike Jonze.
You wouldn’t think that the mega-star would be hurting for cash, especially since his de facto wife is the highest paid actress in showbiz… but there he is, carrying a sumo wrestler in a Japanese bank commercial.
BTW, the name “Softbank” inspires just about as much confidence as Forgetful Bank, or WimpyBank. Just sayin.
