Michael Jackson’s Funeral Postponed, Dad Suspects Foul Play
Following the sudden death of music icon Michael Jackson, many questions are left unanswered. His father, Joe Jackson has said it’s too soon to set a funeral date, because he wants to know what happened to Michael and suspects foul play.
The Jackson family are waiting the results of a second private autopsy and until they get some answers, they will not lay Michael to rest. The first autopsy was deferred and tox reports could take weeks before there are results.
Joseph Jackson said, “Michael was dead before he left the house. I’m suspecting foul play somewhere. He was waving to everybody and telling them he loves them and all the fans at the gate.
“A few minutes after Michael was out there, he was dead.”
He continued, speaking to reporters outside the family home, “We don’t have a time frame for that [funeral] because I want to see how this autopsy is coming out.”
Al Sharpton, standing beside Jackson, said they do not want to “rush into” funeral plans, and that the family are being “careful and deliberate on how they plan the celebration of his life.”
The family want conclusive answers. Did Michael die from an overdose of Demerol or some other drug that he took? Was he injected by his doctor with something that he should not have been? Why did his heart stop beating?
According to a source, the night before Jackson’s death, he had had rehearsals for his comeback tour. “The night before he died, he was exhausted but spent the last hours playing with his kids.”
I bet his children will cherish that last time with him.
