Michael Jackson’s “Death” Photo Makes Front Cover Of Mag
I get it - people want to know everything they can about their idol, favorite celeb, icon, musical genius, whatever Michael Jackson was to them. But do we need to see a so-called “death” photo? What if Jackson’s kids see it? The actual death of their father is traumatic enough, and seeing a photo of his last moments can only upset them further.
From Showbiz Spy:
This is what you can expect from the Richard Desmond-owned piece of sh*t:
THIS week in OK! magazine we’ve got a WORLD EXCLUSIVE as we unveil the last-ever pictures of Michael Jackson.
In a special tribute issue to the King Of Pop, we reveal the devastating details of Michael’s passing and unveil never-before-seen pictures of the star’s final moments.
Celebrities from across the globe mourn the loss of one of the world’s greatest entertainers, with stars such as Madonna and Michael’s ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley revealing how they are struggling to cope with the news.
We look back over Michael’s record-breaking career, from his early days singing with Jackson Five to achieving phenomenal success with solo smash-hit albums Thriller and Dangerous.
OK! takes you back through our past exclusives with the tragic star, including the first pictures with Michael and Debbie Rowe’s firstborn son Prince Michael Junior.
In an obituary of Michael’s amazing life, we look at the troubled childhood that haunted the controversial star – from his father’s reported beatings to the child abuse allegations that rocked his life in later years.
The issue is labeled as the “Official Tribute Issue.” I think a photo of Michael Jackson at the high point of his career or one with his kids would have been more appropriate to feature on the cover, certainly not one of the man dead or near death.
I have not included the photo, but I’m sure if you really need to see it, you can find it. Sure, we here at Famecrawler dish out our fair share of juicy gossip (and pics), but even we draw a line.
I just keep thinking about his kids and how their world has been turned upside down.

I was watching CNN for updates as the news broke last week. I had to change the channel in disgust as Larry King informed me that what we were watching was Michael Jackson’s body being unloaded on a stretcher from a helicopter, on the way to the coroner’s office. What a crazy world we live in that they felt it was appropriate footage.
I agree, a photo of a dead man, when you have SO MANY of his life, is tasteless.
I was shocked to see they had pics from a helicopter of his lifeless body in a body bag being transferred to the coroners office! i don’t need to see the body bag!
didn’t someone come out with a picture of John Lennon dead too?
If he was in the body bag then it’s hardly seeing his body. It happens with any celebrity that dies. It’s a bit sick I suppose, but it’s not the same as seeing the actual corpse.
However there was one magazine that had a closeup of him when he was on a stretcher and they were trying to revive him even though he was probably already dead at the time. I can see getting upset about that, but not seeing a body bag.
Tracie, I do believe that what bothers us the most about seeing it on live television is the sheer concept of what is actually in that body bag. Agreed, it’s not the same as seeing a corpse, but in terms of disgust, I believe they are quite close. Michael’s dead body in a body bag is not necessarily something I would intentionally turn on the news to see. I would turn it on for information on his death, but not for the disturbing graphic that they presented on TV.

Gerald
