Corey Feldman Dedicates Concert To Michael Jackson
In an ode to the King of Pop, fellow child star and celebrity father Corey Feldman dedicated this weekend’s performance to the memory of MJ. The movie star turned rocker decked himself out in a MJ-esque jacket and asked the crowd for 30 seconds of silence.

“I want to not only dedicate this performance to him, because without Michael Jackson, I wouldn’t be performing onstage tonight,” Feldman told the crowd. “He is with us here tonight.”
As a child star himself, Corey Feldman probably shared a special connection with Michael and their collective lost childhoods. The two were apparently close friends at some point in the past, but hadn’t spoken in the years leading up to MJ’s death.
Now, Corey’s the one booking tours with his band Truth Movement.
“I didn’t feel I could pull myself together to do a show tonight,” Feldman, 37, told PEOPLE after the show. “It’s been really difficult, honestly. I’m all shaken up right now. I had to do a lot of acting, basically, to get through the last 48 hours.”
I wonder if any of the things that Corey learned from Michael have helped him gain perspective on being a parent to 4 year-old Zen Scott. Judging from what Corey’s seen and been through, I don’t think I’d want my kid to have anything to do with show biz until they were an adult.
“What [Michael] taught me is that you always have to be nice to your fans and always treat them with love and respect,” Feldman said. “Even if you don’t remember the moment, they are always going to remember that moment. That’s something that I carry with me.”
