Billy Mays Died of Heart Disease, Autopsy Shows

Billy Mays

So the autopsy for the King of Pitchmen Billy Mays is complete and the medical examiner says that Billy’s death was likely from heart disease, not a bump to the head.

“The final cause of death will no be known until after toxicology results are available,” said Dr. Vernard Adams at today’s news conference.

Billy Mays was found dead at his home yesterday morning in Tampa, Florida. The autopsy showed that he suffered from hypertensive heart disease. “It’s not uncommon to have a sudden death with this kind of disease,” said Adams.

Before going to bed Saturday night, after surviving a hard plane landing that very afternoon, Billy told a friend that he wasn’t feeling well and needed some sleep. The autopsy showed no evidence of “exterior or interior head trauma,” despite Billy taking a blow to the head in that plane landing.

Toxicology tests often take 4-6 weeks for results.

Bet he was taking Lipitor. Every middle aged athletic guy I know who takes it winds up with an enlarged ventricle. Every one. Ask yoru husband to get an EKG if he is on it.

Well I wouldn’t consider Billy Mays as athletic. Have you seen him? C’mon.
